Guidelines for Preparing & Uploading Logos

To ensure your logo meets the necessary quality and compatibility standards, adhere to the following guidelines for format, transparency, resolution, and design preparation. These steps will help optimize logos for clear visibility and high-quality printing.

Preferred Logo Format

  • Use PNG file format for best results. PNG files support better resolution and the inclusion of transparent backgrounds.

  • Avoid using JPEG files, as they do not support transparency and may result in lower resolution.

  • Ensure the logo uses RGB or RGBA color channels, as Blanka does not support grayscale or 2-channel formats.

Transparency Requirements

  • Ensure the logo has a transparent background. This can be achieved with a PNG file format, as it supports transparency, unlike JPEG.

  • Remove any leftover or unintended backgrounds, such as white boxes, to maintain clean transparency.

  • If you encounter an error like 'Invalid number of channels in input image: scn is 2,' check that your logo uses RGB or RGBA color channels.

Design Guidelines

  • Avoid using interior fills or background elements between shapes in the logo.

  • Ensure all areas between design elements are transparent.

  • Do not use gradients or overly complex patterns. A simple, solid design improves clarity and suitability for printing.

  • Avoid thin lines in design elements; instead, increase stroke thickness for enhanced readability and traceability for printing.

  • Gradients are often rejected because they cannot be accurately traced for printing. Use solid colors instead.

Resolution Specifications

  • Ensure the logo has a minimum resolution of 500 Γ— 500 pixels to maintain clarity in various applications.

  • If your logo includes extra padding or whitespace, it will be automatically trimmed. Once the padding is removed, the logo may appear smaller than the required dimensions.

  • Export the logo at a sufficient resolution to preserve sharpness, especially for print use.

Additional Tips for Print-Friendly Logos

  • Crop out any extra padding or negative space around the logo to focus on the design.
