Missing phone number: If a phone number isn’t provided, the courier may be unable to contact the recipient if delivery fails. Including a phone number allows carriers to coordinate with the recipient, confirm delivery details, and solve unexpected issues like access restrictions or delays more efficiently. It minimizes the chances of failed delivery attempts, enabling timely deliveries through direct communication.
Duties or taxes required: For certain countries, orders may need duties or taxes paid to clear customs.
Tip: Always collect a phone number for your customers when they place an order. If your local privacy laws allow it, consider making this a required field in your store checkout. Ensure the number is active and reachable by the recipient, with correct area or country codes, especially for international shipping. Avoid outdated or incorrect information to prevent delivery issues.
